Sensors have recently gathered significant attention owing to the rapid growth of Internet Things (IoT) technology for real-time monitoring surroundings and human activities. Particularly, discovered nanogenerator-based self-powered sensors are potential candidates overcome existing problems conventional sensors, including regular monitoring, lifetime a power unit, portability. Halide perovskites (HPs), with an excellent photoactive nature, dielectric, piezoelectric, ferroelectric, pyroelectric properties, been obtaining flexible light, pressure, temperature. Additionally, photo-stimulated triboelectric properties HPs make them efficient entrants developing bimodal multimode sense multi-physical signals individually or simultaneously. Therefore, we provide update on recent progress in based pyroelectric, effects HP materials. First, detailed working mechanism HP-based triboelectric, nanogenerators—operated as sensors—is presented. effect light piezoelectric HPs, which is indispensable sensor application, also systematically discussed. Furthermore, advances comprising light-active materials summarized. Finally, perspectives continuing challenges presented some opportunities future development sensors.

Paper-based origami triboelectric nanogenerators and self-powered pressure sensors.

Discovering renewable and sustainable power sources is indispensable for the development of green electronics and sensor networks. In this paper, we present origami triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) using paper as the starting material, with a high degree of flexibility, light weight, low cost, and recyclability. Slinky- and doodlebug-shaped TENGs can be easily fabricated by properly folding...

Transparent triboelectric nanogenerators and self-powered pressure sensors based on micropatterned plastic films.

Transparent, flexible and high efficient power sources are important components of organic electronic and optoelectronic devices. In this work, based on the principle of the previously demonstrated triboelectric generator, we demonstrate a new high-output, flexible and transparent nanogenerator by using transparent polymer materials. We have fabricated three types of regular and uniform polymer...

Recent progress in efficient hybrid lead halide perovskite solar cells

The efficiency of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) has been improved from 9.7 to 19.3%, with the highest value of 20.1% achieved in 2014. Such a high photovoltaic performance can be attributed to optically high absorption characteristics and balanced charge transport properties with long diffusion lengths of the hybrid lead halide perovskite materials. In this review, some fundamental details of h...

Self-powered magnetic sensor based on a triboelectric nanogenerator.

Magnetic sensors are usually based on the Hall effect or a magnetoresistive sensing mechanism. Here we demonstrate that a nanogenerator can serve as a sensor for detecting the variation of the time-dependent magnetic field. The output voltage of the sensor was found to exponentially increase with increasing magnetic field. The detection sensitivities for the change and the changing rate of magn...
